Getting MADWifi

Until such time as there is a release, the best way of getting MADWifi is to get it out of the MADWifi Subversion Repository.

Downloading from madwifi.org

There are currently two main branches that you might be interested in:

  • The "new code" (the stuff that Atheros released as preview snapshot, aka "madwifi-ng"):
    svn checkout http://svn.madwifi.org/trunk madwifi-ng

  • The "old code" (that's basically what was CVS HEAD up to now):
    svn checkout http://svn.madwifi.org/branches/madwifi-old madwifi-old

Downloading Tarballs

If you can't handle SVN, or just don't have a net connection, you could download madwifi using HTTP (on another machine, if needs be). Tarballs for the new code can be found at http://snapshots.madwifi.org. If you need a tarball for the old code, you'll find it at http://madwifi.otaku42.de (that's an archive that ranges back to September 2004).

Downloading .debs

If you are a debian user, then good for you! You can download debs from:
