Ham-radio operation with Madwifi

Greetings ...

For ham-radio purpose it is often necessary to have the FULL BAND of 2.4 GHz and the maximum of power output of the WIFI adapter, so the best solution seems to patch the ah.h file putting the ISO CODE of JAPAN as default country code and recompile the Madwifi drivers. Before recompiling and reinstalling the new version, a good idea is to clean the system, i.e :

make uninstall (answer r (remove) to the question) make clean (in the madwifi directory)

You do not need to convert the ISO CODE in HEX, just put it in DECIMAL in ah.h

Happy ham-radio. 73s de F1DFR

tested on Slackware 10.2 / kernel 2.4.31 madwifi 0.9.1 ath_hal wlan ath_rate_sample 1.2 ath_pci Atheros 5212 chipset

Hi, although I find that kinda interesting, its not appropriate for the trac ticket system. It'd be cool if you made a wiki page for this instead. Closing as invalid.
