This patch provides large (> 4k) scan results for Linux Wireless Extensions.

HI, would you mind re-attaching the patch to the ticket please?

It looks like the .patch suffix was truncated somehow, and is not viewable in Trac.

Also, if you'd like to see this applied to madwifi, can you please sign the patch off?

Updated the patch to apply to r1504, and changed some of the code to fit in with the style used throughout.

I am interested in comments from some others before committing it. It seems to work well here.

Chris, just a short note that i am seeing alot of: 

scan iterate returned 0
scan iterate returned 0
scan iterate returned 0
scan iterate returned 0
scan iterate returned 0

scan iterate returned 0

scan iterate returned 0
scan iterate returned 0

with the patch applied.

When these appear, the wlan link also seems to be stalling a bit, but then its only been heavily used for a small period just yet. Any ideas?

#572 kind of suggests that dyqith is planning massive changes in similar areas, and this patch would need to be considered as part of that discussion.

Ah ok...

Well the 1504 patch was busted against the current repository anyway, so I uploaded a version that will apply cleanly in case anybody needs large scan results.
