I have tried several ways to make it run - but still nothing...

I have done all the updates that i have found in several tutorials.

I have linux kubuntu 8.10 with 2.6.27-9-generic kernel and atheros pcmcia card.

I have tried to install madwifi-dfs branch and seems to istall but although i get connected to local networks (i get ping answer from the AP IP address) but i have no access to the internet.

Thanks in advance,

MadWifi v0.9.4 does not compile against kernel 2.6.27. The issue has been covered in various tickets (which would have been easy to spot with a search, for example) and has been fixed.

Get a snapshot of the madwifi-0.9.4 branch using the following command:

svn co madwifi-0.9.4

That version compiles fine against recent kernel versions, including 2.6.27.x.

Hello, I have done searching. With no luck. I apologize for not getting answer to my problem earlier. I am novice both in linux and madwifi.

I wish i could have downloaded the latest distribution earlier.

Thanks again.
