Description

Anyone know what is the signal strength required to switch from Rx antenna 1 to Rx antenna 2 for CM9 atheros card?

In our testing, we are using two WLAN node. 1st node is having two 90 degree antenna (one facing north another is facing south). 2nd node is having single antenna. First, we are pointing the north antenna of 1st node to 2nd node. Then we start execute PING between the two node and slowly rotating 1st node.

If we connect 1W amplifier to all the antenna, we can ping when any one of the antennas in 1st node is point to 2nd node. But without the amplifier, the ping can only go through if north antenna in 1st node is pointing to 2nd node.

If seems to us that Rx diversity only switch to south antenna if signal strength is very strong. Anyone know how to increase the sensitivity for Rx diversity to switch from one point to another point?
