Driver appears loaded, however no scan results.

Description

I followed the instructions and compiled the driver. I can see where the Atheros card is loaded using MODINFO, but IWLIST SCAN returns "No scan results." for ath0.

I ran the scripts to remove all previous versions of Madwifi. Then I followed this procedure:

MAKE CLEAN MAKE SUDO MAKE INSTALL SUDO REBOOT MODPROBE ATH_PCI IWLIST SCAN

Still no results. So I did:

SUDO APT-GET INSTALL WICD

This uninstalled network-manager and network-manager-gnome. I rebooted. Everything worked GREAT! Then when I shut down the computer, I got some sort of network error message (that I've been unable to reproduce) and now, even though ath0 still shows under IWLIST SCAN, it returns no scan results and will not pick up Wifi at all.

I apologize for being unable to list the logs here because I have to use a different computer to access this site. I'm using Ubuntu Hardy. Any ideas? I have been having the same problem with the older version that has ar5007 support too.

If more info is needed please let me know.
