Description

I have an acer 5520 laptop, which i recently installed Kubuntu 8.04.1, i tried to install the madwifi driver (r2576+ar5007)for this card (Atheros AR242x) it succesfully installs but it crashes the nvidia driver, so i have to recompile it. How do i know it works? because before recompiling the nvidia i just do a simple iwconfig ath0 and i can see all the details. even after compiling i can see networks close to me in KDE. But then if i reboot it's like if madwifi has disappeared, so i have to recompile it, then it crashes nvidia, then recompile, etc, and everything i just told.

Are you really sure it's the madwifi module? have you filled a bugreport over @ nvidias forum too ( as far as i know its linked on the driver download page, something like nvnews.net or .com )
