AR5212 + madwifi-trunk-r3635-20080517 + wpa_supplicant + hostapd: The problem we met is that: We use both mastermode and stationmode on one single card, when the stationmode can't connect to any AP, the mastermode stops working.

use madwifi-0.9.3,the problem disappeared! why the new version has this problem? Thanks for your help.

Was it working fine with madwifi-0.9.3?? Unless the station gets associated with an AP, it changes channels. This is the reason why the AP disconnects. ticket #804 discusses this problem as well. Try setting bgscan on the sta vap or fix the channel of the station to operate in a particular channel. I think the issue of both sta and AP co-existence on the same radio, is still there and was never fixed.
