Description

In ad-hoc mode the “ieee80211_classify” function is not called. This function (ieee80211_output.c file) determines the priority of the packet an select the WME queue to manage the packet. In managed mode the function is called and WME queue are used. I have checked it with a radio sniffer

WME queue are available in ad-hoc ?

We used madwifi 0.9.4 and a Mandriva 2008 with a 2.6.22.9 kernel and two stations (Cisco Aironet PCI interface or Trend PCI interface).

11/17/09 10:51:19 changed by Ronald van Wee <ronaldvanwee@gmail.com>

I was setting up WME queue in wireless ad-hoc envirement. In the beginning it dit not seems to worked. Looking on the internet i found a driver from UMASS at htp://hop.cs.umass.edu/ I took the code for QOS from tis source code and put this in my original driver 0.9.4 After testing WME queue in wireless ad-hoc whit the patched driver it works as expected.
