madwifi doesn't enable the LEDs on _some_ AR5416 chips

Description

Hi,

well, for some reason - which is probably located inside the HAL, because it's the only place where it _could_ be - the LEDs on any of my AR5008 PCI chips (SMCWPCI-N and D-Link DWA-547) are staying dark... forever...

(But they're _blinking_ like mad on Windows)

Regards,

Chr.

I have the same issue with AR2413, LED does not enable.

IIRC, LEDs are driven from the GPIO pins. The hardware manufacturer may have wired them up differently?

maybe... but I'm using the original drivers from Atheros in Windows too. And I still have the blinkenlights there! So There's something the windows driver knows that the HAL doesn't...
