Atheros 5005G (miniPCI) does work in linux (madwifi) but not on FreeBSD (ath)

Description

Whatever I do, my Atheros 5005G miniPCI simply can't attach (hal status 3) under FreeBSD. Debian works fine with the stable tree. Under FreeBSD even FreeBSD-7.0-CURRENT won't do it right. It would be great to run FreeBSD on my Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Li1705.

You should contact FreeBSD support for this issue. Although MadWifi and FreeBSDs ath driver share a lot of code (and have a common history) MadWifi is Linux-only.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to resolve your FreeBSD issue, I therefore close this ticket as "invalid".
