Broadcast packets accepted for old BSSIDs

Reported by: michele lamonaca at telecomitalia it Assigned to:

Component: madwifi: other Version: v0.9.2.1

Description

While configuring a Cisco AP in "virtual mode" (i.e. multiple SSIDs associated to different BSSIDs) I noticed (ethereal) that the madwifi client was accepting broadcast packets from old BSSIDs. For example, after moving from SSID1 to SSID2 (i.e. BSSID1 to BSSID2) and back to SSID1 I was still able to see broadcast packets belonging to the vlan associated with SSID2. In order to reproduce this behavior take care that you need at least one client associated with SSID2 while the first one goes back to SSID1 otherwise the AP won't forward any packet (brodacst or unicast) since it has no client associated for that SSID.

Trunk version (rev 2626) is not working at all for me, but v0.9.3.1 has the same issue.

What happens if you work with trunk?
