Description

I am testing the D-Link G520 WLAN card and PowerPC Processor with Madwifi driver.

H/W Version : A2 Linux Version : 2.6.18 Madwifi Version : 0.9.3

The driver versions are:

wlan: 0.8.4.2 (0.9.3) ath_hal: 0.9.18.0 (AR5210, AR5211, AR5212, RF5111, RF5112, RF2413, RF5413, REGOPS_FUNC) ath_pci: 0.9.4.5 (0.9.3).

The card 's PCI ID is: 0x104C (Vendor ID) and 0x9066 (Device ID).

When I insert the module ath_pci.ko, I am getting the following error.

wifi%d: unable to attach hardware: 'No hardware present or device not yet supported' (HAL status 1).

I think, HAL support for this card is not available.

The Madwifi driver only supports PCI ID 168c:0013 (rev 01) for D-Link -- G520. In Madwifi site, they did not tell about this H/W Version -A2 (working status).
