"modprobe -r ath_pci" hangs since revision 2217

Reported by: ziegler@uni-freiburg.de Assigned to:
Priority: critical Milestone: version 0.9.5
Component: madwifi: other Version: trunk
Keywords: Cc:
Patch is attached: 0 Pending:

Description

scripts/madwifi-unload.bash spawns "modprobe -r ath_pci", which hangs with the message "unregister_netdevice: waiting for ath0 to become free. Usage count = 6".

"modprobe -r ath_pci" cannot be killed and the only way to halt the machine is to switch of power.

Since happened, after I upgrade from r2216 to r2217l I run Debian/testing on an Thinkpad R40. Wirelesscard: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5212 802.11abg NIC (rev 01).
