In my Centos 4 router, the latest trunk revision (r2187) does not create any new ath/wifi interfaces. It compiles and installs ok. Using 0.9.2 works ok. The box has four minipci winstron cm9 and cm6 cards slotted in a quadruple minipci->pci adaptor. The module is loaded with the following options in /etc/modprobe.conf:

probably newer HAL in trunk is responsible for this, maybe regression, have here no probs with cm9s in rb14 adaptor, but have no cm6 cards to test cm9 + cm6 behavior with new HALs, maybe you could try to put cm6 cards out and test trunk only with two cm9 ? .

or, try even newer HAL which is in svn repo in madwifi-hal-0.9.20.3 branch.
